URGENT REQUEST 1 - A baby girl was born just two days before Christmas, to a mother who was a patient of ours many, many years ago. As a baby herself she suffered severe apnoea attacks (stopping breathing). Her baby has complications, in as much as she was born early (not due till end of January), also was a breech birth, and with the history of mother's apnoea, is in need of a respiration monitor which will alarm should the baby stop breathing warning parent or guardian that baby needs assistance.

URGENT REQUEST 2 - Our next story is very sad. A little baby girl just 1yr old, is another baby in need of a respiration monitor. Both her and her elder brother suffer episodes of unexplained cessation of breathing. Just prior to Christmas, before any medical explanation could be found, sadly, her brother died suddenly in his sleep - the day after his little sister`s first birthday. He was just 2½ yrs old.
We do not wish to suggest that the monitor will save the life of a baby, but over the years we have found that it helps parents enjoy their little ones. And, in a worst case scenario, will give some small `peace of mind` that a parent had done all they could to assist.
Our limited resources are fully stretched. Any donation however large or small would be greatly appreciated.
